painting in the heat

We found some 2 foot squared concrete pavers in our stash of bricks. I made one into a table top where my son stenciled it, found some round stepping stones and used those for "legs"

I decided to make a chess/checker board for the warped ones.

I only taped the border the squared I marked with pencil and hand painted. The heat index in 102 degrees. HOT!

so many things going on

we are putting in a new kitchen floor,which was started before I came home from work today...so...no pics. But when it is done they will be posted. the old floor did not deserve pics.
other than that, our yard has more pretties!

Here is a curb find, it was a black broken water fountain. Not any more!!

Veggie garden 97% done!!

All that is left is to create some kind of cap. But all in all I like how it turned out!

WOW! Are things getting done or not?! Meet my helper.

My hubby started the veggie bed before I came home from work. Isn't he nice? (no pics)He said he was up till 1 or 2 in the morning finishing it so I can get it ready today. I now feel bad for waking him up to go to work.

All that is left is a topped edge of some sort, dirt and veggies!
