What is happening to our warped de-cluttering?????

Well, I kinda let life derail my de-cluttering.  What in my life has derailed me?  TV!  The boys were watching the DVR, and all I heard was "I saw that, that is a repeat."  I thought WHAT are we doing?  What could we be doing?  So, I am cutting cable out of our lives.  There are SO many other things to fill our lives with.  Risk, Monopoly, UNO....family night, reading.  So this Friday, it all goes bye-bye!  We will be keeping internet though.  We figured we will be saving $840.00 a year!


So, on to our next adventure in de-cluttering and rebuilding our family!

Warped cleaning.

Well, our cleaning adventure has slowed down somewhat.  I did take about 20 boxes to GW so far so I guess that is progress.  I have another 10 to go right now.  Time to get back on that wagon!
What have I been doing?  I have freshened up our door trims looks brighter and fresher too!  It has been too cold to work on the door trim but that will come in its own time.  Next is closets and window trims.

Warped New Years Resolutions

This year I guess I only had one thing I wanted to do.  Clean, organize, declutter.  Fifteen days into my adventure, I am doing great!  Another load to go to the Goodwill tomorrow.  We have So much stuff that we don't even use, look at, nor think about.  Time to simplify.

It will be a new year in a few hours. 
New Years Resolutions.....What is your take?  I am not sure I like them, yes it is great in theory.  We are always trying to better ourselves but we also know we will fail (resolutions).  Do we set the bar too high, not high enough (are we tougher than we think we are)?  Once we fail we give up, no getting back on the horse. 
SO....my resolution?  LOL, getting organized.  I found a nifty year long calendar from  www.mysimplerlife.com.  Each day is a short task to complete.  Some look like it should take 15 minutes some longer depending on the amount you have.  I think this is one I can complete.
I have already started.  For Christmas we received some new dishes.  I emptied all cupboards of all other dishes that don't match, we don't use, have doubles.  GONE!!!  Close to 8 boxes have gone to our local Goodwill.  I hope I am able to send 8 boxes a month at the least to Goodwill.  Time to pare down.  Please check it out if you want to get organized also!

What a month!  My Adorable Warped Husband is in the hospital again.  They (Our local hospital) took him to Cleveland Clinic for further testing.  In May he had a pacemaker/defib put in.  Well it seems like it is just a medicine issue as on right now.  There are a few other doctors to talk to but this is where they are leaning.  All projects have been put on hold for now.  I am messing with  a project for the warped young one for his room (not too into it yet, but we are trudging through.)

New Years Plans~warped style

One of the things I have been trying to do is to find a way to keep everyone organized.  What works for me does not work for some or all.  My plan........yea.  Time to figure it out all again.  Does some of my organization work for me, if not FIX IT!   So, my plan....scour Pintrest!  YEA!!!  I have a dollar store a few blocks away, shopping areas close by.  I can and will do this (well, we can and will do this!) 

I do realize this IS Thanksgiving, and I am thankful for all that has happened this year.  It has been rough but we have survived!  We are still here and making it day to day.  I think I am going to propose "No electronics" day(s) or a weekend.  More Family Nights.  More togetherness (ok, cleaning lol)  I want more things, not materialistic but mental and physical bonds.

Warped Re-Do

Wow!  When I said there were going to be BIG changes, little did I know what exactly they would entail!  My Warped Husband has had some medical issues which are hopefully getting resolved now, we moved into a new Warped Household.  Then my Warped Phone lost all the pics I had taken of before pictures...sigh.  So I have some after pics (which are still in process)  This is the Warped Young Ones room.

 

As you can see, there is a few things left to be done.  I have been scouring Pintrest and My Warped Husband chose the argyle to do on the wall.  The Warped Young One's previous look of the room was blue and light blue with sponging and an Under the See wallpaper border.  Not the look a 12 year old wants to go for.  Well, the young one went away on a Church retreat over the weekend (and not realizing I worked ALL weekend) I said "HEY, lets redo his room!!!"  Thank goodness the Warped Hubby and the Warped Twins picked up the ball and did ALL of the room!!!  The little I did do does not even count!!!  When the Young One came home he was speechless!!  Warped Mission accomplished!
