warped fence

The front of the fence is a pretty green and the inside is a wedgewood blue.  But there is SOOOOO much green in the back yard with all the plants and grass, I wanted a different color to look at! My husband is also making me planter boxes to put on the inside of the fence so I can grow herbs. (Thanks for the idea http://www.notjustahousewife.net/2011/07/planter-boxes-on-the-fence.html)

Still lots to do, but it is well on its way!!

Where have I been????

Well Fall 1 classes are over!  I passed with a "C"!  So now maybe my normal cleaning, crafting, life can continue!! 
We have started to put up our fence in the back of the house. 
Remember the raised flower bed?

We now have the fence up at the front of the house!  It looks so cool!  We just have to make a sign for the front of the fence.  We are naming our back yard "The Ball Pit"  It is all in good fun!!  Our neighbor practices baseball, football and basket ball and we collect the balls in our yard!  I love it though!!!!!  I wouldn't have it any other way!!

We are going to Lowe's today so the warped ones can build monster trucks this morning then we are going to a craft show in a nearby town.  So I will get pics of the fence posted later on today or tomorrow!!







what a warped life!!

Well, it is the busy season at work and my classes have started up again.  I have a hard time managing my time when I have TOO many things on my plate!  It will work itself out, but it takes too long.  This month to next month we hope to have a fence up, raised veggie garden moved (not the one I just built), and other small items done.  We will see how well that happens!!  LOL

ok! and here we go!

With the weather as it has been, I have had to be selective with outside projects. It has been HOT HOT HOT!!

My warped boys have been playing pokeman. Their game board was a piece of paper that was ripped and destroyed! So, on the other side of our checker board I painted a new playing board.

As you can tell they love it! They are outside all the time playing!

On our arbor we have a black berry bush growing, well on the other side I had another one but it died (tear). I was at the store and found one for 3.00!! SCORE!!

You can also see the gladiolas blooming in the background! so pretty! I also found a small goldenrod plant for 3.00 also it is next to the gladolias.

....I know there is something else.....if so I will do another post!

painting in the heat

We found some 2 foot squared concrete pavers in our stash of bricks. I made one into a table top where my son stenciled it, found some round stepping stones and used those for "legs"

I decided to make a chess/checker board for the warped ones.

I only taped the border the squared I marked with pencil and hand painted. The heat index in 102 degrees. HOT!

so many things going on

we are putting in a new kitchen floor,which was started before I came home from work today...so...no pics. But when it is done they will be posted. the old floor did not deserve pics.
other than that, our yard has more pretties!

Here is a curb find, it was a black broken water fountain. Not any more!!

Veggie garden 97% done!!

All that is left is to create some kind of cap. But all in all I like how it turned out!

WOW! Are things getting done or not?! Meet my helper.

My hubby started the veggie bed before I came home from work. Isn't he nice? (no pics)He said he was up till 1 or 2 in the morning finishing it so I can get it ready today. I now feel bad for waking him up to go to work.

Not too many more projects to complete before I am happy with what has been accomplished this year! And, if things pan out, I will be employed again...well, I am now but it is part time. I really hope this works out, we as a family need this...........

What holiday is it???

Life

Life has been busy here on the homestead. With work, school, and boys. No time to do anything fun. Just grown-up stuff.
Hubby had to go out of town this weekend, and I was allowed to go too! YEA! We went to Soaring Eagle Casino in Mt. Pleasent Michigan. It was a fun time! Not too many pics were taken, there was an oldie car show. I did get pics of those, the most fun cars were the Pacer and a Jeep with flames!

I have been sick this week. So, laundry has been lacking! So, today will be catch up day along with going through my summer clothes and actually getting rid of ALOT! That is my goal. I would like to start saving for a yard sale, I am not sure if I can accomplish this for the current sale season, but I will try.
